Black stars Coach Otto Addo has finally named a 27 man squad for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 play offs against Nigeria.
Four debutants were called into the team. Players like Felix Afena-Gyan, Elisha Owusu, Montari Kamaheni, Dennis Odoi and Dennis Korsah have been handed their first call up into the national team ahead of the crucial world cup qualifier against Nigeria.
Despite reports of Jordan Ayew testing positive for Covid 19, he’s been included in the squad. Many believe that since his senior bro Andre Ayew will not be able to make it as a result of suspension, Jordan’s experience will come handy for the Black Stars.
Some notable absentees from the squad are:
Andre Ayew – suspension
Benjamin Tetteh – suspension
Samuel Owusu – injured
Kamaldeen Sulemana – injured
Abdul Baba Rahman – injured
Mubarak Wakaso – injured
Richmond Boakye Yiadom – injured
Philemon Baffour – injured
