The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have finally identified the perfect replacement for outgone Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac who got jettisoned last week.
He got sacked following Ghana’s disappointing and calamitous display in the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations having suffered a group stage elimination. With this, Irish manager Chris Hughton has now been handed the vacant role per reports with the official announcement being anticipated in the coming week.
Borussia Dortmund talent scout, Otto Addo has also reportedly been named as the first assistant and is expected to combine the two jobs at a time like he did previously.
However, Ibrahim Tanko will also be returning to the Black Stars technical team once again and will this time come in as the second assistant coach having previously served as head coach of the national U23- Black Meteors.
The new technical handlers will be looking to get the team well gelled and prepared for the subsequent assignments ahead, hoping to restore the country’s glory days. Ghana will face sworn rivals Nigeria next month in the playoff round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
