If ‘Weed’ is not good why didn’t Ghanaian’s oppose it when it was partially approved – Ras Kuuku

Sensational Reggae/Dancehall artist Mr Kojo Korankye known in showbiz as Ras Kuuku has made an assertion that, if Wee was indeed a bad thing as a lot of people portray why didn’t the people of Ghana Kicked against it when it was partially legalised?

He was speaking with Dj Sirray the Entertainment show host of Atebubu based Radio station Star 89.7. He continued that although the use of Cannabis is partially legalised he is not too happy because his Ghetto Youth who he represents as their president are being chanced by the police here and there.

On Friday, 20th March, 2020, Parliament passed into law the Narcotics Control Commission Bill, 2019 which legalised the use of Cannabis for health and industrial purposes.

When Kuuku was asked about how excited he was to hearing that the bill was passed into a law he said;

“Initially we were happy but now I am not soo happy because the stress people go through even to gain a licence to grow Wee is too much, this is hindering the progress of the economic and employment benefit that will befall the country”.

Mr Kojo Korankye who was born on 23rd July, 1984 was emerged as the dancehall artist of year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2020).
