The 20th Edition of the much anticipated Vodafone Ghana Music Awards went off yesterday at the newly constructed Dome in Ghana’s capital Accra.
It has being 20 years since Chapter House started awarding deserving figures in the Ghanaian music scene. This edition was celebrated in a grand style with suprising nominations gained by various Ghanaian artistes.
Ghana’s leading saxophonist and music producer Mizter Okyere, who was nominated in the Instrumentalist category of 2019 VGMA together with others, had the shock of his life when he was pronounced the winner for the night.
Formally known as Big Dee, Mizter Okyere has being on top platforms performing alongside the likes of Samini and Sarkodie. He has also had an opportunity to perform for the Ex President of Ghana, his Excellency John Agyekum Kuffour on his birthday.
