Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike, one of the disqualified presidential aspirants claims the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) booted him out of the race because of his criticisms of Nana Akufo Addo and his policies.
He told news portal MyNewsGh that his disqualification had been planned from the onset. “Because I am always not giving Akufo-Addo government breathing space in terms of his bad policies for Ghanaians such as towing levy, salvaged cars importation bill among others, they see me as a threat and have orchestrated that, ” he said.
“The EC led by Jane Mensah and NPP’s campaign manager, Peter Mac Manu from day one planned to ensure that I will not be given the chance to contest”, Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike angrily added.
Odike, who happens to be the leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), was disqualified along with five other candidates who failed to meet the requirement of the EC.
