With her first runway show in Paris on Friday, Victoria Beckham is aiming for the highest approval of the fashion industry after turning to French professionals to revamp her struggling firm.
The 48-year-old ex-Spice Girl, who hasn’t walked the runway in two years, joins Paris Fashion Week after spending a lot of time showing her clothes in New York and a little time in London.
Since her first exhibition in 2008, her refined workplace and evening attire has become a surprise hit with fashionistas, surprising some who anticipated her to be another celebrity diva.
However, despite having 250 international stores that sell her clothing, 30 million Instagram followers, and one of the most well-known spouses in the world, Beckham’s company has always had trouble making a profit.

Her chairman is Ralph Toledano, a former president of the French Federation for Haute Couture and Fashion, and her CEO is Marie Leblanc de Reynies, a former head buyer at Paris shopping center Printemps, in an effort to turn things around.
“Victoria isn’t a member of the fashion industry. She plunged herself into the business, but eventually realized that the home required some structure, organization, and order, which is what we’ve been working on for the past four years “told AFP, Toledano.
The epidemic was always going to be tough on chic evening clothes, and reports this summer revealed the label was £54 million in debt and had to cut costs and personnel in order to survive.
However, a lucrative cosmetics line introduced in 2019 has helped cut expenses, and the team anticipates turning a profit soon.
Her celebrity status is a “double-edged sword” for the company, according to Beckham.
“Are other brands subject to the same level of scrutiny as mine each time we submit (results)? Definitely not, “she informed Vogue.
